Reminiscent of a European fairytale from yesteryear, this cozy yet spacious 1950s Bavarian cottage was painstakingly reimagined from top to bottom. Even under layers of grime and dust this home oozed charm and was begging for a second chance. This one was a big challenge with hauling debris and new materials across a footbridge, and the crew was…well…they took it in stride. At least lunch by the river wasn’t too shabby. Our star painter really got to shine on this one, creating an absolute masterpiece. We think we counted 21 different paint colors that were ultimately brushed on the house. We spent hours painstakingly staring as samples dried to get *just* the right shades.

Was tackling a vintage cottage accessed via rustic woodsy roads and a footbridge a “smart” or just dumb flipping idea? You decide. But we don’t care because this sweet house had so much good juju and was so much fun to rehabilitate that it’s still one of our all-time favorites.
