Brooklyn Townhouse
Park Slope, Brooklyn
SOLD
6BD, 3BA
Nestled on one of Park Slope’s premier tree-lined landmarked blocks, this home was designed and built with unrivaled integrity by local builder Fred J. Griswold as part of a row of four elegant town-homes before the turn of the century. This turn-key residence had been flawlessly maintained and impeccably restored. From top to bottom, each and every detail throughout the distinctive triplex was special, such as exquisite restored and stripped hand-carved woodwork, solid wood doors with original antique hardware, and original hardwood and parquet floors in varying patterns and inlay designs.

TAKEAWAYS
This was a special property to stage and sell. The owners of 50 years had lovingly restored the original details and were very attached to the home. It took an eye for appreciating the existing style combined with gentle coaxing to convince the sellers to allow me to move certain furniture pieces to alternate rooms. I embraced the existing unique colors and features and brought in new furniture pieces, art, rugs and accessories to create a visual style that both respected the history and appealed to modern buyers.
